Home Equity Loan: A loan secured on a home or second home. It can be up to the amount of home equity the homeowner has invested in his/her home.

Reverse Mortgage: A loan that allows a homeowner to convert the equity in his/her home into cash. Jewish Family and Children's Service provides free Aging In Place Reserve Mortgage Counseling.
