Our Staff:  

Annette Sandler, Director of Aging and Disabilities Services at Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis. Annette is responsible for the State and Federally funded NORC program, L’Chaim Senior Services, AlterCare Adult Day program, HECM Reverse Mortgage Counselors and the Inclusion program for people with disabilities. Annette has BA in Communications, a Masters degree in Gerontology from the University of Minnesota, a Certificate in Advocacy Leadership for Vital Aging from the University of Minnesota. Annette’s primary area of study has been “Adding Life to Life Expectancy”. Annette is a member of the Board of Directors for the Faith Community Nurse Network of the Twin Cities and the vice chair of the Leadership Group of the Vital Aging Network. Annette has worked in the field of aging for the past six years.

Mari Forbush, Chief Operating Officer at Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis.Mari is responsible for all financial matters regarding NORC, for coordinating with the National NORC office in Washington, and for working on issues of funding and re-funding. Mari has a BA in American Studies and a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota. She worked at the University of Minnesota for 18 years before joining the JFCS staff. Mari has spent her professional career working on projects that focus on improving lives and the communities that we live in.

Joy Leslie Gordon is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and Columbia Teachers College. She has many years experience developing linking organizations to community resources in the public schools and in the social service sector. As the NORC Community Liaison, she coordinates the  NORC congregational nurse program for 10 congregations as well as the West Metro Congregational Nurse Networking Group, writes the NORC Newsletter, coordinates the NORC Health and Wellness monthly lectures and is the primary JFCS reverse mortgage counselor.

Jethra Brand, In Home Services Supervisor. On staff at JFCS since July 2007. Coordinates the MOW program as well as In Home Services for L’Chaim Senior Services. Administrative assistant to the NORC Project, (Nurturing our retired citizens). Communicates with Seniors daily. Volunteer experience is in hospice.
